We have been singing together since 1994, mostly for fun. The songs we perform are from the turn of the century and are, for the most part, standard barbershop arrangements. (Your grandparents would know just about every song in our repertoire.) In 2000, the group decided to get serious about the quartet. We adopted the name "The Old Time Favorites" and became a society-registered quartet.

Bob Schmidt sings tenor. He is our moderator and resident comedian and tells an occasional joke or two. Bob has been singing barbershop music for over 20 years. He is in business for himself and operates convenience stores and laundromats in the Alton, IL area.

John Spatafora sings lead. He's been singing barbershop for over 20 years. He also plays the accordion in a Country / Gospel Band. John is an arranger and has arranged several of the songs we sing. He works for CINTAS, a uniform manufacturer.

Bob Wegner sings bass. He's been singing all his life and barbershop music for over 20 years. Bob is our contact person and the organizer. Bob is a computer programmer and works for the US Postal Service.

John Hessling sings baritone. John recently joined our quartet in October 2002. He's been singing barbershop music for over 10 years. John is an electronic engineer and our resident computer genius who loves playing with computers. John also plays the guitar.
